BUYING

 

Payment:

Vesuvius does not reserve items. The nature of great vintage finds is that they are rare, and often one offs. For that reason, we operate on a first in-best dressed (literally) basis, out of fairness to us and other buyers.

We accept payment via direct bank transfer or PayPal, and your items will be posted once payment is cleared. For this reason, PayPal is a faster and more secure method to avoid wait times.

Shipping:

Our shipping and postage is measured by total weight and size of parcel. Within Australia, all standard postage is registered and tracked. You can upgrade to express postage in the checkout.

Please note that the base rate for international postage is quoted at an un-registered, non-trackable rate. Tracking and faster services are available for a higher cost, you can upgrade to tracked international shipping in the checkout. Please be aware that these non-registered items are not eligible for refunds if they go missing in the post. It is an extremely rare occurrence, but a risk you run if you do not wish to pay for registered international post.

 

Refunds and Exchanges:

Vintage means Vintage. While a lot of our stock is unworn excess stock, pre loved pieces do have small imperfections, marks or wear. As all of our pieces are handpicked and carefully assessed, we aim to keep these imperfections to a minimal, and where possible, have them mended by our Melbourne based alterations seamstress. If an item has any imperfections, it will be written in the product description. Due to the messy and expensive nature of postal returns, we do not accept returns. Each item is measured to ensure you get a good fit by comparing to yourself or a similar item at home. Please use these measurements, and feel free to ask us if you have any queries about an item so that we can help you get the best fit, and please make sure you are 100% before purchasing.

In saying that – we want you to be happy! If there are any major issues with an item, we will do our best to come to a solution with you.

 

 

HIRE & STYLING

At the moment, our hire stock is only available as a pickup – drop off option from Melbourne and is to be arranged prior to pick up.

Hire stock can be booked in advance, but failing this, we cannot guarantee that all advertised items will be available.

Hiring rates are charged for either 48hr blocks, or for a 7-day week.

Credit card details will be held to ensure the items are returned in good condition.
